We had expected a lot from the town of Cadiz, if only because of its location by the sea, but in the end we were a little disillusioned. There is actually only one real main street with stores. Apart from that, everything else is spread out around the town. Fortunately, our accommodation was quite central, so we only ever had to walk short distances. We liked Jerez de la Frontera, which is in the province of Cadiz, much better. This is the home of sherry and there are various bodegas that you can visit. We visited the Lustau bodega, which was very worthwhile.
